Major Academic Plans (MAPs)
MAPS: Major Academic Plans
What is a MAP? Each major or major emphasis publishes a "Major Academic Plan" or MAP listing the requirements that students need to fulfill to be accepted into a major (if applicable) and to graduate from that major. The MAPs are updated yearly; however, students must complete the requirements on the MAP of the year you entered the major. Copies of all MAPs can be obtained in several ways:
- Simply click here to download a MAP (Adobe Acrobat Reader is required).
- Hard copies are available by visiting the appropriate College Advisement Center.
- Hard copies are also available at the University Advisement Center (2500 WSC).
In addition to graduation requirements, MAPs contain information regarding the nature of the discipline (what you will be studying) and information about career possibilities related to the major.
