My Story:
My interest in Psychology stems from a natural ability to listen which has made finding my major relatively straightforward. However, I'm still figuring out which career path I’d like to pursue specifically. Ever since choosing my major, I have found great value in chatting with individuals that have a background in Psychology – there really are so many opportunities! I look forward to learning more and clarifying my goals. From this experience, I am passionate about helping others find their way.

Coming to BYU, I thought I wanted to be an engineer. But through taking the Career Exploration course my freshman year, I realized that helping people one-on-one is really important to me, and decided to Major in Exercise Science. I’ve been Pre-Med for most of my time here at BYU and have recently been considering a career in Physical Therapy.

My Story:
For most of my life, I had aspirations to work in Hospitality Management. But after working in the industry for three years, I discovered that what was once my dream job, was not what I wanted. This led me to transfer to BYU where I spent my first year engaging in various exploration experiences. These experiences led me to find Communications Studies- a major that incorporated both my interests and strengths. I am still in the process of exploring career paths, but I’m excited to see where I go!

If I had a thousand lifetimes, I would pick a different career path in each one. Starting as a freshman at BYU-Hawaii, my class schedule was a conglomerate of courses from varying majors. Everything interested me, but that meant indecision and uncertainty made landing on a career path extremely difficult. When I transferred to BYU, I chose Math Education as a major, then Communication Disorders, and then finally I decided on Political Science. It combines my passion for nuance, writing, statistics, and argumentative research. I’ve grown comfortable making small decisions through uncertainty which fuels me with the desire to help you do the same.
