Erin grew up in Bakersfield, California. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Utah Valley University, and is now attending BYU for her Master’s of Social Work. She served a mission in Colorado Denver South. Her time working as an advisor has given her a greater understanding of the challenges that come for young adults at BYU, particularly transitioning to adulthood while navigating college life.
She has had experience working with victims of domestic violence at the Center for Women and Children in Crisis, as well as the Family Support and Treatment Center. During her time at UVU, she interned as a school social worker and behavior counselor for a summer youth program. Her experience has shaped her desire to continue to advocate for underprivileged families and individuals, and ultimately to pursue her licensure as a clinical social worker.
